As you can see, many of these designers, especially Michael Kors, like to mix trends together. For example, the second dress under the crop top trend not only features the crop top but the floral trend as well. Many of the kimono looks could fall under the Bohemian category also. There is a good variety in trends this summer, something for everyone. If you want something softer than maybe denim or mesh, try the romantic lace or florals. Not into mixing prints? Keep it simple with a gingham print; maybe even a jumpsuit with the single print all over. Fringe can also be incorporated into the boho look and many kimonos I have seen sold in stores and on the runway feature fringe sleeves and details.

As for figuring out what to wear where, for festivals the obvious choice would be Fringe, Denim, Crop, Bohemian, and you could probably mix prints also. It’s pretty much whatever you want at a festival, just make sure whatever you’re wearing is comfortable and don’t go crazy with layering because it will be humid and sticky. For work, you can try a jumpsuit, gingham print, and subtle florals. For a date, romantic lace is always nice and for something a little more casual, a pair of denim jeans and a mesh top.

Try mixing and matching and see what works for you. I hope this post inspired you to either do some shopping or look through your own closet and see what you can do with what you already have. Thanks for reading and check back later for another post on Feathers and Chains!
